Recently I have been teaching the seventh grade students at Folkungaskolan about the American and French revolutions. The standard that my cooperating teacher and I chose to focus on for this unit was cause and effect. Because of this, I solely am expecting students to answer questions regarding the causes and effects of each revolution. Though they were taught about the dates, important people, and events that took place in each revolution, they will not be tested on that because it is not vital to the standard that we focused on. Additionally, students are expected to be able to create their responses in an open-ended format, there are no multiple choice questions on the exam.
